Where Do Writers Get Ideas?

We talked on Tuesday about where writers get their ideas. We practiced taking a small event (ie. seeing a dog run down the street) and asking "What if?" Then we added exciting details to the event to make up a creative story. "What if the dog stole a diamond necklace from a pirate? What if the pirate was chasing the dog?" The Zoo Crew had some interesting ideas to add to make a story!

First Week!

The Zoo Crew had a wonderful first week of school! We read a lot of books, discussed classroom and building expectation, began our new math program, and even drank Jitter Juice!
